Public Dining Room accepts a la carte reservations up to 90 days in advance for parties of 1 – 11 guests. For bookings of 12 or more, please contact us directly via email events@publicdiningroom.com.au or (02) 9968 4880. If you are dining with 12 or more adult guests, a set menu will be required.

Public Dining Room is open seven days a week:

  • Lunch: Monday – Friday, bookings available from 12:00pm until 2:30pm;
    Saturday and Sunday, bookings available from 12:00pm until 2:30pm.
  • Dinner: Monday – Friday, bookings available from 6:00pm;
    Saturday, bookings available from 6.00pm.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

FULLY LICENSED: We accept BYO (wine only) on Wednesdays, available for lunch or dinner a $10 corkage per bottle is applicable.

WEEKEND SURCHARGE:
Please kindly note, that a 5% service fee applies on weekends.

CHANGING OR CANCELLING YOUR RESERVATION: For any changes to your reservation please contact us as soon as possible via +61 2 9968 4880 or info@publicdiningroom.com.au

10% SERVICE FEE FOR 10 or MORE GUESTS:
Please kindly note, a 10% service fee will be added to groups of 10+

CHILDREN: Children are always welcome at Public Dining Room! If you would like to book for more than 11 guests or have a large number of children in your party, please email info@publicdiningroom.com.au
If you are dining with 12 or more adult guests a set menu will be required.

CREDIT CARD AS SECURITY: For all a la carte reservations of 8 – 11, we require a credit card number to secure the booking. We do not process a deposit, however if you need to cancel or alter your reservation, we do ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. If you don’t provide 24 hours notice, the cancellation fee is $25 per person.

CREDIT CARD SURCHARGE: Please note all credit card payments at Public Dining Room will incur a 1.5% processing fee.

DIETARIES: If you or your guests have any dietary requirements, please mention these when making your reservation.

HIGH BAR DINING: Our High bar “Mezza table” is available for bookings. To book a place at our Mezza table, please call us directly on + 61 2 99684880 for availability.

HIGH CHAIRS/ SPACE FOR PRAM: If you require a highchair for your reservation, please request this when making your reservation (NB: we don’t count highchairs in reservation numbers). Only if the child is seated at the table, will they be included in the total size of the party/table reservation.

ON THE DAY: If you are running late for your booking please contact us as soon as possible via phone +61 2 9968 4880. If you are more than 30 minutes late and we haven’t been able to contact you we may need to release your table.

OPERATING HOURS:
Lunch: Monday – Sunday, bookings available from 12pm until 2:30pm
Kindly note, orders need to be placed before 3pm and you are welcome to stay until 5pm.
Dinner: Monday – Saturday, bookings available from 6pm
Kindly note, orders need to be placed before 9pm and you are welcome to stay until 11pm.

PUBLIC HOLIDAY SURCHARGE: Should your reservation fall on a public holiday a surcharge of 15% will be applied to all food and beverage prices.

RECONFIRMING YOUR BOOKING: We will contact you 48 hours prior to confirm your booking. If we are unable to connect with you we will follow up 24 hours prior to your booking.

RESERVATION TIMINGS: When the restaurant is near capacity, we may require customers to agree to a 2 hour dining time, where your table to be rebooked shortly after. The reservations team will inform you of this at time of booking.

SEATING REQUESTS: While Public Dining Room will always do its best to accommodate all seating requests, we are unable to guarantee as all allocations are finalised on the day.

WALK-INS: While reservations are always recommended, we also warmly welcome walk-ins for all services. For any walk-in customers, please kindly note tables are subject to availability.
